President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), to build on all the successes it has recorded so far by continuous provision of qualitative services to Nigerian pilgrims, both in Nigeria and in Saudi Arabia.
He gave the directive while flagging off inaugural flight for this year’s Hajj on Thursday in Abuja.
President Buhari who was represented by the Minister of state for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada, however, commended the NAHCON leadership for their diligence in ensuring a smooth sail during the preparation stages of this year’s Hajj operation.
The president also called on pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Islam and Nigeria in the holy land by obeying all laws, rules and regulations of the host country.
He enjoined them to pray for the peace, development and progress of the country while in the holy land.
