Hajj 2024: Be Good Ambassadors, Zamfara First Lady Urges Pilgrims From State

Wife of the Governor of Zamfara state, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal has called on intending pilgrims from the state to remain steadfast and be good ambassadors.

The first lady threw this challenge to the intending pilgrims during the 2024 Hajj Review Exercise conducted in Gusau,the State Capital.

She said pilgrimage is one of the pillars of Islam, hence, it is advisable for Muslims who have the means to undertake once in lifetime.

Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal called on them to adhere to rules governing the conduct of the exercise for it to be acceptable as ordained in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet.

The First Lady drew their attention, that whatever they portrayed in the Holy Land, it will be a reflection of Zamfara state either positive or negative.

In a statement,  Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the wife of the Governor of Zamfara state , Zara’u Musa said  Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal noted that the present administration has made adequate arrangement to ensure the welfare of the intending pilgrims is not compromised while in the Holy Land.

She pointed out that over forty seven million naira were refunded to the intending pilgrims from 2019 to 2023 through the Hajj Commission Board, but unfortunately, the monies were squandered by the previous administrations.

The First Lady lauded the Female Ulama Council in collaboration with the Hajj Commission Board for organizing the 2024 Hajj Review Exercise.

Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal unequivocally called on the intending pilgrims to pray fervently to ALLAH to bring an end to this ugly situation of banditry and kidnapping in the state.
She wished them Hajj Mabrur.
