The Chairman/CEO of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, on Thursday, 17th October, 2024 inaugurated the Nusuk-Masar Committee (E-TRACK) Committee for the 2025 Hajj.
The Committee, headed by Engr. Muhammad Goni S, was given a 3-point terms of reference (ToR) by the NAHCON Chairman.
These are:
1) Activation and general management of the 2025 Hajj Nusuk-Masar portal for the Nigerian Intending Pilgrims.
2) Training of users at NAHCON, States Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Agencies/Boards/Commissions and Licensed Tour Operators nationwide.
3) To also, among others, enlighten and liase with all relevant internal and external stakeholders in the general tasks of the Nusuk-Masar as required by Saudi Arabian Authorities.
While inaugurating the Committee, Professor Saleh urged the members to work diligently, describing their assignment as the backbone of the 2025 Hajj Operation.
The “Nusuk Masar,” was introduced by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to streamline services for worshippers performing Umrah and Hajj.
The platform creates a unified and efficient experience for all stakeholders involved in serving pilgrims.
Through the Nusuk pilgrim card — an identity card worn around the neck — Hajj workers are able to verify the identity of each pilgrim, thus preventing unauthorized people from entering the holy sites.
Meanwhile, the NAHCON Chairman also on Thursday presided over a strategic meeting with the leadership of the Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria(AHUON).
