The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has asked contracted accommodation and catering service providers to comply with international best practices.
NAHCON gave the change through its Deputy Makkah Coordinator, Alhaji Halidu Shutti during a meeting with the service providers.
Shutti declared that the Commission will weigh its big stick against any erring service provider.
He noted that the Commission will not accept services fall short of international best practices and harped on the need for justification for the payment made by the pilgrims.
Consequent upon this, the service providers have
assured NAHCON of their commitment to make the stay of the guests of Allah in the kingdom memorable and worthwhile.
The assurrance was given by Mr. Abdul Qadir on behalf of the service providers at the meeting organised by Makkah office of NAHCON to assess their preparation for the receipt of pilgrims from Madina .
“We have recruited professionals and experienced staff to serve Nigerians in Makkah”, Mr. Abdul Qadir stressed.
