An official of the Nigerian Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abubakar Abdulkadir Mayos, on Saturday displayed exemplary character
by returning the Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) lost by a pilgrim.
This occurred at Yola Pilgrims Camp in Adamawa State and the amount was
$505 and 30 Saudi Riyals, amounting to N822,038.07 ( Eight hundred and twenty two thousand, thirty eight Naira and seven kobo at the official rates).
The BTA belongs to a Taraba State Pilgrim, Maimuna Salihu.
The BTA was returned to the pilgrim this morning, Sunday, 18th May, 2025,in the presence of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Liaison Officer, Director of Planning ,Taraba and some other officials.
