Commissioner representing South South in the Board of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Alh. Sadiq O. Musa, over the week visited the Regional General Manager of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr. Arewa Olatokunbo at Port Harcourt International Airport.

Alhaji Musa told his host that the visit was to request for the provision of a conducive environment for intending pilgrims in the Port Harcourt Hajj camp.
He was thereafter accompanied by FAAN Regional GM and all heads of relevant agencies in the airport to Hajj Camp to inspect the dilapidated structure and facilities. The Commissioner South South appealed to the GM to provide befitting Hajj camp for the pilgrims.
Responding, the GM promised to renovate and fix the Camp just like Lagos Camp. He then ordered the renovation and cleanup of Port Harcourt Hajj Camp ahead of Hajj 2023 commencement immediately
Alhaji Musa also held Stakeholders meeting with head of agencies in the airport, namely Mr. Dennis Okegwe (ITN FAAN), Dr. Amaize Hope (Port Health), Eluonro Friday (FAAN IPS), AbdulLahi Baba (Immigration), Isaac Aloye (NDLEA), Anyankah Olivia (NAQS), L. Onoka (DSS), L. Emefiele (Custom), GD Jimmy (DSS), Iwuchukwu Benneth (FAAN AVSEC) and Nwobosi Obiageli S. (FAAN ORS).
