The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris has tasked Hajj Affairs Officer and their Deputies to consolidate on the achievements at the  2023 Hajj operation, stressing that 2024 Hajj excercise is expected to be the best.

Imam Abdurrahman gave the reminder  while addressing them during a distribution excercise of the 2024 Hajj slots to  Local Government Areas held at the conference hall of the Board today, tasked the officials to fear Allah in the discharge of their duty and to ensure that they do it within the confines of Hajj operation guidelines.

He noted that the Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad administration is determined towards ensuring the Welfare of the intending pilgrims,  warned that any Hajj official found indulging in any shoddy deal during the excercise will be severely dealt with.

Imam Abdurrahman therefore charged Hajj officers not to relent in their effort of rendering selfless service, bearing in mind that they serve guests of Allah and would be rewarded by Allah.

He further reminded that the sale of 2024 Hajj slots is based on first come first served basis, adding that the Board received only 3,364  Hajj slots from National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON).

While advising Local Government Hajj officials to be good ambassadors of the Board, Imam Abdurrahman  called on them  to work in synergy with their Local Government Councils, religious and community leaders with a view to acquaint the intending pilgrims with new  2024 Hajj policies introduced by Saudi Authority and NAHCON.

Earlear in his remark on behalf of the Local Government Hajj officers, the Chairman of the forum  Alhaji Munaja Dass thanked the Board for the invitation and assured his members rededication to serve the intending pilgrims.
