The Director General of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alh Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa has condemned the kidnapping of the Hajj Center Officer in Bebeji Local Government Area of the State.
Alh Danbappa, made the statement on Thursday when he visited the Hajj Center officer to sympathise with him at Kofa village Bebeji Local Government after his release by kidnappers.
The Director General charged security agencies to step up efforts to rescue those who are still in captivity and put effort to end kidnapping in the state.
On his part, the Hajj center officer Alh. Sagir Umar Kofa said he was released yesterday, Wednesday at Saulawa village in Ikara Local Government of Kaduna state after spending thirty eight days with the kidnappers.
He added that the kidnappers visited Galadimawa village along Zaria Road and collected twenty million naira ( N20m) ransom from his relatives before releasing him.
He commended the effort of Director General of state pilgrims Welfare Board Alh Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa for the assistance rendered.
Alh Sagir Kofa prayed to Almighty Allah to protect people in the state from this incident which he called a bad experience.
