To set up Jalal Arabi for crucifixion, ugly unsubstantiated allegations were leveled against him. He was thrown to the media gallows for media judgement. His Commissioners and some other aides withdrew and left him on his own as if they never existed. By the time the saga was over, it became glaring whose head those behind the media drama wanted. Now all that is history.
The same film is now playing out. Of recent several scandalous reports that make way into the media arena go for the jugulars of Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman Pakistan while painting all other major actors in NAHCON as saints. The reports often point to a rotten chairman of NAHCON while some of the other major players are always painted as the real saviors of NAHCON
For how long do these faceless paid media people think they can keep fooling the public in order to remove the chairman and get their agents to occupy the seat? It is God who gives power to whom He wills not by setting up your chairman for failure. Leadership is not just about the team leader but a collective responsibility of all those involved. If the team succeeds, every person on board takes the credit and if it fails, everyone must share the blame. Therefore if the chairman fails, then the commissioners and all those in NAHCON are failures too because they are to assert for what is right and stand by that until it is done or bring to the fore the potential damage before the team with a view to correcting the problem or preventing it from happening. If anybody waited to see 7.9 Billion and 24 Billion to come waste as alleged, then, he is either an accomplices or unpatriotic and therefore unfit
The Chairman of NAHCON, the Commissioners and the entire staff of the commission must do everything possible to succeed. This old and already known style of crucifying the head for some personal gains must stop. Never in the history of the hajj commission has its official documents been flying freely. One is forced to ask why? What’s the motive? All the media attacks against the incumbent chairman Professor Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan will come to nothing because he is leading the Commission with all sincerity of purpose and has been taking all the commissioners and staff along in decision making. The 2025 hajj is a success. It is evident that the strategies and innovations brought in by Professor Pakistan have yielded the desired results
NAHCON’s primary objective is to ensure a smooth and efficient pilgrimage experience for Nigerians. It is not an arena for mudslinging, castigation of deliberate attempt to bring its leadership or anybody to his knees. All those in the commission must work together for its success. None should allow his heart to take pleasure from inflicting pain on another, but rather, work for the common good of all
