The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria ( NAHCON) has announced the death of it’s North West Commissioner, Alhaji Umar Garba.
He died at the early hours of Sunday, 15th, January 2023 in his hometown, Illela, Sokoto State.
Born in 1950, the late NAHCON Commissioner attended Gada Town Primary School, Sokoto Teachers College and University of Sokoto.
His working experience included being a primary school Headmaster and Education Secretary in many Local Government Areas of Sokoto State.
He was also a member of Sokoto State House of Assembly and at different times Special Adviser to the State Governor on Special Duties; Rural Electrification and Ecology.
The late Alhaji Umar Garba is survived by two wives and many children./HP
