Niger State urges intending pilgrims to be guided by Hajj rules

Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has urged the intending pilgrims from the state to be guided by rules and regulations on hajj exercise both at home and in the holy land.

The Executive Secretary, Muhammad Alhaji Awwal Aliyu, who was represented by the Director of Operations of the state pilgrims board, Mallam Attahiru Bala Dukku, stated this during a sensitization workshop for pilgrim’s guide in Minna, the state capital.

Dukku said their main task was to make sure that pilgrims from their respective local government areas were well informed on the religious rites during Hajj activities.

He further advised the officials on the need to be calm and be patient with the pilgrims as most of them were performing the rituals for the first time.

The pilgrims guide, according to Mal Dukku, were carefully selected from the 3 zones of the state to cater for language barrier during Hajj activities.

Dukku who said all arrangements have been concluded of airlifting intending pilgrims from Niger State as at when due, urged them  to educate themselves on Hajj activities and to abide by the laws of both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia during Hajj activities.
