A Saudi government app has introduced a service enabling visitors or worshippers who are near the Prophet’s Mosque, Islam’s second holiest in Medina, to visit Al Rawda Al Sharifa, where the tomb of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is located, without having to wait for a full year to pass since the last visit.
The Nusuk app management explained that thanks to recent updates, the visit to Al Rawda Al Sherifa can be repeated via the “Immediate Path” service throughout the year if the worshiper is close to the Prophet’s Mosque, the Saudi newspaper Al Watan reported.
Last year, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that it is possible to book a permit to visit the revered site once a year via the Nusuk or Tawakkalna apps.
A visit permit is issued every 365 days for the same worshipper, according to the ministry.
Ten minutes are allocated for each group to visit Al Rawda Al Sharifa.
