The Acting Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Malam Abubakar Salihu has convened an emergency meeting with members of the management committee to address critical logistics and preparatory hurdles ahead of the 2027 Hajj exercise.
The meeting, held at the Commission’s headquarters in Yola, was called to streamline the registration process for intending pilgrims and to formally address the recent Hajj slot allocations granted to Adamawa State by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.
Speaking during the opening session, the Acting Executive Chairman emphasized that early preparation is vital to avoiding the rush and administrative bottlenecks that often characterize the pilgrimage season.
Malam Abubakar Salihu noted that the 2027 Hajj requires a more proactive approach to ensure that every intending pilgrim from the state receives adequate orientation and documentation.
“Our goal is to ensure a seamless experience for our citizens,” the Acting Executive Chairman stated. “This emergency session is necessary to review our internal registration framework, ensure transparency in the shortlisting process, and maximize the utility of the slots allocated to us.”
The committee members expressed their commitment to maintaining the state’s reputation for excellence in pilgrimage coordination.
They further deliberated on enhancing the sensitization programs to educate intending pilgrims on the new policies introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
