Amb. Yusuf Visits Saudi Embassy in Abuja

The Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, has initiated high-level diplomatic engagements regarding the 2026 Hajj.

During a courtesy visit to the Saudi Arabian Ambassador in Abuja on 27th February, 2026, Ambassador Yusuf discussed preparations for the next Hajj, emphasizing on close coordination with the Saudi Embassy to ensure seamless pilgrimage by Nigerians.

On his part, the Saudi Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef bin Mohammed Albalawi, pledged to strengthen collaboration with NAHCON to ensure a successful 2026 Hajj for Nigerian pilgrims.

Last week Ambassador Yusuf held three distinct virtual meetings with officials in Saudi Arabia, focusing on strategy, regulations, quota, visas, IT interconnectivity and bilateral collaboration to ensure a smooth hajj operation.

The NAHCON CEO confirmed his team has already begun inspecting facilities in Saudi Arabia for the comfort and safety of Nigerian pilgrims.
